5. Portale ex palazzo Carbone
The Carbone Portal—which served as the town hall of Pedavoli until 1878, the year the municipality of Delianuova was formed through the merger with Paracorio—dates back to the 18th century. It is one of the oldest portals, uniquely featuring a keystone in the form of a scroll enclosing a sculpted human face that projects outward from the rest of the structure. The composition is adorned with floral and curvilinear motifs, and is characterized by unusual vertical rusticated blocks along the doorjambs that become curved as they follow the contour of the arch.
