Melara Portal (now Licastro-Princi): In the Melara portal, alongside doorjambs featuring capitals that project inward and a short scroll at the apex of the arch, two prominent pilasters stand out, set against the wall in the upper section of the frame. This section, bounded at the top by a slender bracket that projects slightly from the masonry face, supports a cornice enclosing a rose window that is remarkably large within the economy of the overall composition, further emphasized by the presence of spiral decorative elements.
